The 2026 Toyota/Save Mart 350

Welcome to Wine Country, where the first race of the In-Season Challenge will be held. The twisting turns of the Sonoma Raceway will definitely be quite the place to begin the challenge. You've got a ton of elevation changes, and a high-speed turn 10 that leads straight into the hairpin of turn 11. Let's see what California brings us this weekend.     As usual, not much happened during stage 1. Just some drivers flipping the stage, including SVG. For this stage, the one who would go on to win it would be the driver that led the first lap. That was the 54 of Ty Gibbs taking the stage 1 win.

SVG led to start the second stage, and he led for a good while until he pitted just before pit road closed. He would go on to finish 7th in the stage, while once again, Ty Gibbs won the stage.

SVG led the field to green for the third and final stage as well, although not long after there was an accident involving Josh Berry, Noah Gragson, Austin Cindric, and Bubba Wallace. Everybody was able to continue on, and we got rolling again. Denny Hamlin spun in turn 7, which would be big for the points lead. After that spin, Tyler Reddick jumped ahead in the points by 6. SVG kept his lead until he made his pit stop on lap 84, when Ryan Blaney took the lead. SVG made it back into the lead on lap 89, after Ross Chastain made his pit stop, but he had a hard charging Chase Briscoe behind him. Briscoe pushed his car to the absolute limit, but nobody could stop the 97.

Well, were done with road courses for the year, so that was most likely SVG's final win of the season. Anyways, that's all I've got for today. Thanks for reading.
