The 2025 Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway

Martinsville, one of my favorite tracks, is finally here. This track is full of mayhem-just how I like it. Lots can happen at this track, spinouts to burnouts, single file to three wide, and most importantly, great blocks to grandfather clocks.

The first caution was on lap 31 for debris. The piece of debris-possibly a brake duct-fell off of one of the cars in the field. It would be hard to determine which of the 38 cars it fell off of, and I don't think they ever did.

Sometime in stage 1, everybody pitted and Bubba Wallace pulled out of his pit box and traded paint with Josh Berry. A couple laps later, Berry's car shuts off. Apparently the place on Berry's car Wallace hit, was were his battery was located.

On lap 309, Kyle Larson stacked up the field by getting into the wall, and when Chris Buescher entered the turn, he collided with Noah Gragson which got Buescher airborne. The Contact sent Gragson spinning, and for some reason that made Buescher mad at him? I'm still scratching my head on that one. Anyway, Buescher sideswiped Gragson out of frustration.

With one lap to go,  Denny Hamlin was in the lead with nothing in his way. He had grabbed stage 2, and was closing in on the checkered flag. He crossed the finish line, and won the race.

Well, it was pretty entertaining to watch that. Mostly because everybody was mad at each other. So, definitely one of my favorite races of the season.
