The 2025 Firekeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway

Michigan-apparently the fastest track in NASCAR-is not a regular oval. With speeds over 200 mph, its one of the only ovals that flips could happen pretty easily. Take the Xfinity and Cup races last season. Kyle Sieg flipped down the backstretch, but he had a good amount of help from Chandler Smith. But the next day, Corey LaJoie just barely tapped Noah Gragson, spun, and flipped in the same place Sieg did. Anyways, enough lolligagging, I got an article to write.

The first caution for an incident was on lap 60 for John Hunter Nemechek and Noah Gragson spinning down the backstretch. Nemechek got loose on the exit of turn 2, causing him to spin. Then Gragson tried to avoid him, but failed and spun himself out. Nemechek barely made contact with the wall, but he was able to continue.

A few laps later the race was under a red flag after Alex Bowman made head-on contact with the outside wall. The 99 of Daniel Suarez came down on Cole Custer, causing Custer to make contact with Austin Cindric and spin. Then-instant karma-the 41 machine hit the 99 and caused him to spin as well. Custer also made contact with Bowman, which is how the 48 made his head-on contact. Chase Briscoe spun into the action as well.

On the last lap, Denny Hamlin was holding on to his lead after he passed Kyle Larson by forgetting about fuel saving. And, he tied Christopher Bell and Kyle Larson for 3 wins in the season.

Wow. Just, wow. No offense to Ryan Blaney or Denny Hamlin fans, but that was the worst 2 weekends of racing of my life. I am excited about next weekend for the race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez/Mexico City. I like it when they bring in some new tracks. Alright. I'm out.
