The 2025 Grant Park 165 at Chicago

NASCAR returns to the Windy City for the third time, and welcomes the champion of the streets to the Cup Series. Yep, I'm talking about SVG. But honestly, the best part of the whole race was the duel between Alex Bowman and Bubba Wallace. If you didn't know, this battle started a year ago, when Bowman couldn't get his windshield wiper to work, and accidentally spun Wallace. Bowman happened to when that race, and on his victory lap, Wallace put Bowman in the wall and was fined. Then they did it all over again this year. Ok, this intro is getting a little long.

The first caution was on lap 4 when Carson Hocevar clipped the inside wall in turn 9, causing him to slam the wall on the exit of the turn, spun out, and what happened next, you might ask? Chaos happened next. Austin Dillon wasn't able to avoid Hocevar, so he stopped, then everybody else piled in. Triggering a red flag.

Two drivers hit the tire barrier in turn 1, those being Katherine Legge and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Legge was able to drive off, but Stenhouse was a little unlucky.

With two lap to go, not much happened. Except the fact that NASCAR gave the race to SVG. Cody Ware crashed into the tire barrier and got stuck, and NASCAR waited until the last lap to call the caution. If I was Tyler Reddick or Ty Gibbs, I would be furious.

Well, I was expecting a little more from the streets of Chicago, but there's always next year. Oh well, lets head to Sonoma.
