This is probably the best road course that NASCAR has ever run. Where the drivers have to take a sharp right on restarts, then maneuver through a zigzag configuration. Then later on they take another sharp right, a very sharp left, merge back to the right, then cut through the stadium! Anyways, enough on the setting, lets get to the events.
The first caution was on lap 1 for rain, but we got going pretty fast. Austin Cindric and the no. 17 of Chris Buescher stayed out, which was a risky call because they were slipping and sliding on slicks.
The yellow flag waved for a multi-car incedent. Kyle Busch got loose on the entrance of turn 1, made huge contact with Justin Haley, spinning the no. 8 car the opposite way and into Kyle Larson. AJ Allmendinger piled in as well.
In turn 11, Riley Herbst spun, then tried to rejoin, and just barely missed the 47 of Ricky Stenhouse Jr. That was one of the most extraordinary moments of 2025.
The last lap was pretty boring so I'll just explained the end. SVG won his second career cup race since his debut in Chicago of 2023. Then he did a burnout in the stadium section.
Now I can't wait for next year, well, hopefully NASCAR will do it next year. Speaking of Chicago, That's coming up. I also heard they changed Atlanta Motor Speedway to EchoPark Motor Speedway, and that's on June 28th. Alright, guess I'm home free until next week.
