Once again, we come to another crown jewel race-the Brickyard 400. At a track with so much history, everybody wants to kiss the bricks in Indy. But before you have that chance, you have to win the race. So we will see who can do it today. Don't forget the battle of the Tys, whoever finishes ahead of the other win 1 Millon Dollars. So, read this whole article and figure it out.
The first caution was on lap 17 for Ross Chastain spinning into the outside wall. Micheal Mcdowell gave the 1 a shove into the corner, causing Chastain lose control of the car, reciving major damage to the back end of the Busch Light Lime machine.
Later on, Mcdowell suffered what I'd call karma and got a flat tire, forcing him to pit. The race stayed green, and we moved on.
While on a great pit strategy, the race was going swimmingly for Austin Cindric, or at least, it was. Until he suffered a flat right rear tire. Like Mcdowell, The no. 2 had to limp back to pit lane.
The same incident then happened to Cindric's teammate, Joey Logano. He was in the race lead, then had a tire go down on the backstretch. Once again, another car came shuffling down pit road.
It started raining in turn 1, causing NASCAR to put the race under a red flag. Bubba Wallace was the leader at the time.
The race restarted in overtime, but coming down the backstretch, Christopher Bell turned into Zane Smith, causing the 38 to spin head-on into the outside barrier. Tyler Reddick and Joey Logano were involved as well.
The white flag waved, and Bubba Wallace was leading. Kyle Larson was trying hard to get around the 23 and go back-to-back at the Brickyard, but it wasn't enough. On July 27, 2025, Bubba Wallace became the first ever black driver to win the Brickyard 400, snapping a 100 race winless streak.
Bubba Wallace wins the Brickyard 400? That just doesn't sound right to me. Oh, and Ty Gibbs won a million dollars. So, no more bracket-busting till next season, and then everybody can be disappointed.
