One of my favorite tracks, plus it's my home track, North Wilkesboro. The all star race was pretty entertaining, and the top groove worked way better than I expected. You also have to be careful about passing, because your tires can get pretty bad when running side by side. So, let's get to the hot topics.
The first caution was on lap 56 for Daniel Suarez going hard into the wall coming out of turn 2. He was running outside of Chase Briscoe, then lost his car and put it in the fence.
Apparently, we got stupid enough to try to attempt 3 wide at a short track. Austin Cindric and Alex Bowman tried to dive to the inside of Ross Chastain, causing Cindric to get into the quarter panel of the number 1 car. They both escaped with minor damage, and they somehow avoided the barrels on pit road.
On lap 215, the yellow flag was shown due to the promoter's caution, and I usually wouldn't mention this because there's no wreck to explain. But Micheal Waltrip waved the flag, and then dropped it onto the track! This was about as good as when the pace car hit the barrels on pit road during the 2024 championship.
The white flag waved for Christopher Bell, and they showed a camera shot of his wive (or that's who I suppose it was) and she was just hanging on. Luckily, Bell's defininetly going to be able to pay his bills for a while, because he's now got one million dollars
Now that's what I call short track racing. That was pretty entertaining, and I'm glad they brought back North Wilkesboro. My family and I would go on vacation, and when we would pass the speedway, it was just a mess of vines. Now it's thriving, and host the all star race. Anyways, I'm done her... oh wait! I forgot to mention I'm going to the Arca, Truck, and Xfinity races, and I got pit passes. So, now I'm done here.
